About the role

  • Hiring a Labour Relations Consultant at LCBO for a 12-month contract in Toronto. Support collective bargaining and develop LR strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of bargaining strategy through needs analysis and business consultations; facilitate preparation for collective bargaining and organize proposals; build labour relations tools, resources, and training to support leadership and HR transformation; advise HR and business partners on legislation, arbitration awards, and collective agreement interpretation; summarize key LR decisions to strengthen organizational knowledge and consistency; research labour market trends and provide strategic insights to internal stakeholders; develop communications that enhance alignment and understanding across the organization.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in HR or a related field, plus 3+ years of HR or Labour Relations experience; strong understanding of collective bargaining, employment law, arbitration, and dispute resolution; ability to navigate complex LR issues in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; analytical strength and sound judgment when interpreting authorities; excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior decision-makers; experience in bargaining is a strong asset.
