About the role
- Senior Project Manager to lead complex IT initiatives for public sector client in Ontario. Remote role based in Toronto with contract from April 2026 to March 2027.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, enterprise-level IT initiatives for a major public sector client in Ontario. Responsibilities include end-to-end project direction, coordination, execution and control, issues management, communication and change management, resource estimation and project planning. Work with senior government stakeholders and handle politically sensitive situations with strategic insight. Develop comprehensive implementation plans for IT systems including Azure and On-Prem to Cloud Migration.
Requirements
- Must Have: 10+ years of experience in Project Management. Strong expertise in applying PM methodologies, frameworks and best practices. Proven experience managing large, complex projects including resource estimation and preparation of approval submissions. Ability to work with senior government stakeholders and handle politically sensitive situations. Knowledge of IT systems, tools and databases. Nice to Have: Experience working with Ontario Public Sector (OPS). Experience with Corporate Governance and Treasury Board submissions.
