About the role

Senior Technical Engineer needed for nuclear engineering contract in Pickering, ON. Requires 6-8 years experience and ECC systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

Provide technical evaluations, engineering analysis, and recommendations related to nuclear facility operations, commissioning, maintenance, and system performance. Support engineering assessments, troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and process/system improvements. Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, procedures, and supporting documentation. Review technical proposals, perform investigations, and recommend corrective actions or design enhancements. Support procurement activities, installation support, testing, and operational readiness. Participate in research, reliability improvement initiatives, and technical studies. Assist with development of engineering procedures, operational documentation, and training materials. Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering, operations, maintenance, and project teams.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline. 6–8 years of experience within nuclear engineering, nuclear operations, commissioning, maintenance, or design environments. Strong understanding of nuclear facility systems, engineering principles, and regulatory environments. Experience with technical documentation, calculations, procedures, and engineering evaluations. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Preferred: ECC / Emergency Core Cooling systems knowledge; previous utility or nuclear vendor design project experience; experience supporting nuclear generating stations or major nuclear refurbishment projects.
