About the role

  • Develop project governance manuals for nuclear projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. Draft, edit, and finalize manuals while managing documentation and stakeholder input.

Responsibilities

  • Successful candidate will be responsible to develop comprehensive project governance manuals for each project phase (Preliminary Planning and Design, Detailed Engineering, Execution, Commissioning & Closeout) in alignment with nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements. The forecast end dates for each of the manuals are as follows: Preliminary Planning and Design, Detailed Engineering, Execution, and Commissioning and Closeout (TBD). Key responsibilities include drafting, editing, and finalizing governance manuals that address project controls, decision gates, quality assurance, risk management, safety, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Cross‑functional collaboration is required to facilitate and document input from engineering, finance, safety, operations, regulatory, and other subject matter experts, including leading workshops, interviews, and review sessions. All documentation must align with applicable nuclear regulations and industry best practices such as CSA, INPO, IAEA, and CII, while maintaining strict version control, managing revisions, tracking feedback, and coordinating formal reviews and approvals. Training and handover responsibilities include preparing summary materials, supporting implementation of governance manuals, and providing complete handover documentation. Deliverables include manuals for all project phases, templates and desktop guides, meeting notes, workshop summaries, feedback logs, documented review and approval records, and a final handover package. Reporting duties include regular progress updates to project leadership, participation in governance and steering committee meetings, and escalation of unresolved issues or risks. Performance metrics include adherence to schedule and quality standards, stakeholder satisfaction, and successful regulatory and internal approval of manuals. Other requirements include adherence to confidentiality protocols, use of designated document management tools such as SharePoint and Teams, willingness to travel for workshops, and flexibility to accommodate scope or regulatory changes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience writing governance documents or manuals for nuclear projects. Deep knowledge of nuclear regulatory frameworks, project delivery processes, CII standards, and industry best practices. Strong facilitation, interviewing, and technical writing skills, with experience working in cross‑functional, highly regulated environments.
