About the role

  • Customer Service Representative handling order processing and customer service inquiries. Required experience in manufacturing and proficiency in both French and English.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the processing of orders from receipt through invoicing and delivery.
  • Ensure order accuracy regarding pricing, product configuration, and delivery dates.
  • Assess the validity of credit requests.
  • Process merchandise returns.
  • Provide solutions to customer service inquiries and perform thorough follow-ups to ensure excellent service.
  • Respond to all internal and external inquiries related to active files/orders.
  • Participate in departmental technical training activities for new products.
  • Update the customer database.
  • Create new customer accounts in the system.
  • Update sales statistics tables for the territory.
  • Work in partnership with Regional Sales Directors.
  • Verify commissions with our manufacturers' representatives.
  • Support colleagues in the department with daily tasks.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • May occasionally cover reception duties (breaks, absences, etc.).

Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company
  • Experience in the lighting industry is a strong asset
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with an ERP system; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX is an asset
