About the role

  • BMO business banking specialist supporting bilingual Canadian small-business customers with sales, service, advice, and tailored financial solutions. Remote role serving French- and English-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

  • Help small businesses achieve their dreams by offering financial solutions and providing exceptional customer service
  • Act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile team and support leadership activities
  • Develop strong active listening skills and business banking knowledge
  • Work with internal and external business groups to find the right solutions for customers
  • Probe to understand customer needs and provide Business Banking sales, service and advice to existing BMO customers or prospects
  • Advise customers on Business Banking strategies and products, including credit cards
  • Fulfill sales and service activities in accordance with approved procedures
  • Identify and make referrals to other business groups as needed
  • Handle customer inquiries in an informed, professional, and efficient manner
  • Escalate complex or unresolved customer situations to the appropriate BMO colleague
  • Perform required activities and transactional outcomes after calls to accurately process customer requests
  • Maintain current knowledge of business banking and credit card products and processes
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and Bank information and adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Engage clients in holistic needs-based conversations to understand Business Banking needs and identify financial solutions, including commercial deposit accounts, cash management solutions, small business lending, small business credit cards, merchant service solutions, and payroll solutions

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Personal and Small Business Banking Products
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and proactively establish personal connections
  • Contact Center & Banking Experience (Preferred)
  • Organization skills
  • Aptitude for continuous learning, listening, solving problems, and responding flexibly/creatively to new challenges
  • Strong collaboration with internal partners and team members
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Bilingualism French/English Required
  • Fluent in both French and English
  • Proficiency in English to interact, support and/or provide services to non-French speaking customers, employees and/or partners inside and/or outside the province of Quebec
