About the role

  • Internal Events Specialist coordinating logistics for Affirm’s employee experiences and company gatherings. Managing vendors, travel, budgets, registration, and occasional on-site event delivery across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal event logistics requests and support stakeholders through the event planning process
  • Coordinate travel, accommodations, catering, venue sourcing, transportation, shipping, registration management, and on-site execution
  • Support recurring team gatherings, connection days, leadership meetings, and other internal events using established frameworks and playbooks
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships, including quotes, contracts, deliverables, and quality execution
  • Leverage technology and event management tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
  • Partner with Workplace, Finance, Procurement, People, and other cross-functional teams on event logistics and approvals
  • Track event expenses, reconcile invoices, and support budget reporting
  • Gather stakeholder feedback and improve operational excellence across the internal events program
  • Provide occasional on-site event support, including travel for key company gatherings and team events

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, operations, workplace experience, travel management, project coordination, or a related field
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality experiences
  • Ability to solve problems independently and adapt quickly in fast-moving environments
  • Comfort working with technology and learning new systems
  • Experience with project management, event management, travel, or registration platforms preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer-service-oriented mindset
  • Resourceful and proactive approach
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed environment is a plus
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% based on business needs
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience preferred
