About the role

  • Property Field Claims Specialist investigating residential property claims for Allstate Insurance Company of Canada. Focusing on customer service and equitable settlement in the Greater Toronto area.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and settle property claims throughout the surrounding area;
  • Interpret insurance policy wordings as well as determine policy coverage and reserves;
  • Investigate and analyze the clientele’s coverage;
  • Provide prompt and equitable settlement of claims while exercising superior customer service for policyholders;
  • Work together with customers as well as vendors to bring a file to completion providing both sides with a resolution;
  • Advise distribution partner on possible coverage opportunities if applicable;
  • Other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • A minimum 2-3 years’ experience adjusting residential property claims or working in a relevant property claims role.
  • Completion of CIP designation or desire to obtain.
  • Experience in complex claim investigation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Bonus qualification: Completion of the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) or the HAAG Certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with property estimating program Xactimate and Guidewire.
