About the role
- BDO consulting manager leading business analysis, QA, and technology delivery for client engagements. Coaching teams and translating client requirements into software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities across technology consulting engagements
- Gather, document, validate, and obtain sign-off on business requirements
- Work with clients and internal teams to define current and future state processes
- Prepare business cases, requirements documents, process flows, user stories, use cases, and solution documentation
- Liaise between business stakeholders, technical teams, developers, QA teams, and project leadership
- Facilitate backlog planning, feature decomposition, sprint planning, prioritization, and requirements traceability
- Lead or support test strategy, test planning, test case development, defect management, UAT, and functionality validation
- Identify and help mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and business readiness considerations
- Coach and mentor business analysts, consultants, and project team members
- Support effort estimation, resource planning, proposal development, RFP responses, and solution scoping
- Develop user guides, training materials, and process documentation
- Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions to clients and end users
- Build client relationships across multiple engagements and industries
- Participate in talent attraction, team building, hiring, and internal practice development
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in business analysis, technology consulting, project delivery, or a related role
- Experience leading business analysis activities on complex technology implementation or software development projects
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle
- Experience in agile and waterfall delivery environments
- Ability to create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, test plans, and training materials
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting QA, UAT, defect management, and test planning
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills
- Experience mentoring or leading business analysts, consultants, or project teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple client engagements
- Proposal, RFP, estimation, or business development experience considered an asset
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, ECBA/CBAP, TOGAF, Agile/Scrum, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, or related credentials considered an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, Azure DevOps/TFS, Jira, or similar tools considered an asset
