About the role

  • Simulation Specialist performing process simulations for global clients in refining and petrochemical sectors. Leading projects and collaborating with clients while producing technical reports and analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and lead process simulation and Linear Program (LP) projects in the Refining and Petrochemical industries for projects within Strategic Planning and Process Solutions division.
  • Collaborating with domestic and international clients to build and use process simulations to assist in identifying and evaluating margin improvement and asset strategy opportunities as well as enhancing Supply Chain tools.
  • Performing Heat and Material Balance (HMB) calculations and summaries, building individual unit and site wide process simulation and LP models, creating Excel, Word, and PowerPoint summaries and reports, and assisting project managers to drive and complete projects.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Industrial, Chemical, or Process Engineering is required, with advanced business degrees highly desired.
  • Candidate should have 0 to 5 years of direct experience in construction and use of process simulations.
  • The candidate for LP models should have 5 to 15 yrs of LP modeling experience.
  • Knowledge of refining and petrochemical technologies and economics are essential.
  • Project management skills and experience are a plus.
