Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the Senior Creative Director to bring their vision to life by developing the design function roadmap to shape the project's future;
Define, present, and communicate a clear, compelling design vision for new content, features, and game modes;
Serve as the reference expert on how design is structured, implemented, and iterated across the entire game;
Inspire a multidisciplinary design team, fostering creative innovation and technical excellence in gameplay and systems;
Evaluate and improve existing systems while proposing bold new ideas that enrich player engagement;
Champion a player-focused mindset while balancing business objectives with creative ambition;
Mentor, support, and develop the next generation of game designers;
Lead major design reviews: be responsible for acceptance or rejection decisions, manage approval processes, and make final decisions on high-impact design choices.
Requirements
Experience as a Design Director or Associate Design Director on a successful multiplayer PC/console title;
Strong expertise in gameplay design: from mechanics to meta-strategy, including level design, systems, content pacing, and player objectives;
Proven experience in the video game industry demonstrating strong creativity and innovation skills;
Deep knowledge of Games-as-a-Service (GaaS) and live operations, and what it takes to drive player retention;
Ability to present ideas, influence teams, and align cross-disciplinary stakeholders;
Passion for asymmetric games and multiplayer experiences.
