About the role

  • General Liability Claims Representative for business insurance handling liability claims and coverage analysis. Requires analytical skills and proficiency in insurance processes with a focus on customer communication.

Responsibilities

  • Directly handles business owner liability claims.
  • Analyzes coverage issues under the Business owners coverage form, garagekeepers, hired non-owned auto, auto services and other standard industry forms.
  • Analyzes, investigates, and evaluates new loss notices and claim tenders.
  • Adjusts total auto losses as part of adjusting liability claims.
  • Expeditiously analyzes and positions claim under applicable coverage.
  • Collaborates on setting reserves at appropriate level for claims.
  • Uses good judgment in managing ALAE in claims investigation.
  • Appropriately documents claim files in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Obtains and maintains adjuster licenses, as required.

  • Able to work under pressure and execute good judgment in sensitive situations
  • BA/BS degree required
  • CPCU or other industry designation a plus
  • State adjuster license(s) a plus
  • 3+ years prior general liability claims adjusting experience preferred
  • Experience in bodily injuries claims preferred
