Responsibilities
Prepare for weekly and bi-weekly hourly payroll.
This includes handling the hire / rehire of employees, collecting tax forms, posting hours and preparing terminations.
Monitor and resolve system errors with the team.
Liaise with staff and management on payroll-related inquiries.
Prepare various correspondence, statistical summaries, and other material related to payroll function.
Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations, by keeping payroll information confidential.
Prepare Records of Employment (ROE) using ROE Web.
Perform payroll administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
A minimum of 2 years payroll experience, processing in house payroll.
PCP designation or working toward designation is an asset.
Efficient with Excel, data processing skills and can effectively deal with confidential information.
Excellent communications skills, customer service oriented and team player.
Ability to manage a large volume of work and can consistently meet deadlines while ensuring high attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment.
Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
