Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end global payroll operating model for employees, contractors, EORs, PEOs and local payroll providers.
Lead and develop a team of 2–3 direct reports while maintaining executional rigor and high operational standards.
Drive operational administration of employee equity in Shareworks, including processing grants, updating records, and cross-functional reconciliation.
Identify and implement automation flows to minimize manual data transfers, recurring exceptions, and data friction.
Collaborate with HR technology, IT and Finance teams to execute payroll platform consolidation and maximize system reliability.
Strengthen compliance protocols, payroll controls and record retention to protect the company from financial exposure and ensure audit readiness.
Establish clear processing calendars, accountability metrics and data dashboards to measure functional accuracy and capacity gains.
Intervene directly on complex tax, equity and payroll issues specific to each market to drive fast cross-functional resolution.
Requirements
Global payroll leadership: Proven experience managing multi-country payroll operations, particularly navigating EOR, PEO and local provider structures.
Equity administration expertise: Hands-on knowledge of equity platforms such as Shareworks, including grant lifecycle management and complex tax coordination related to equity.
Systems and automation orientation: Strong track record designing HRIS integrations, optimizing workflows and intentionally eliminating manual interventions in financial operations.
Controls and compliance rigor: Deep knowledge of payroll controls, financial audit preparation and tax implications within a high-growth tech or fintech corporate environment.
Hands-on coaching leader: Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a remote operational team while simultaneously acting as a hands-on technical expert.
Business and analytical mindset: Ability to translate complex operational patterns into clear, data-driven decisions that improve scaling efficiency across the business.
