Responsibilities
Lead technical direction and implementation of core gameplay and runtime systems
Own architecture and long-term health of gameplay-adjacent systems
Partner closely with design and content teams
Drive engineering quality across gameplay code
Architect and optimize AI movement, perception, decision support, and navigation features
Support large gameplay spaces by improving runtime performance and system reliability
Establish engineering best practices for Unreal Engine 5 development
Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring and onboarding
Communicate technical constraints and plans to stakeholders
Requirements
5+ years of professional game development experience
Strong professional experience with C++ and Unreal Engine
Shipped or significantly contributed to complex action, shooter, AI-heavy, or systemic gameplay features
Deep experience building and maintaining responsive, scalable gameplay systems
Understand technical demands of third person action or tactical shooter gameplay
Comfortable collaborating across multiple disciplines
Strong ownership mindset and practical decision-making
