In-Service Support Project Manager overseeing training operation projects in Canada. Collaborating with site managers and internal teams to ensure project success and compliance.
Responsibilities
Manage the execution of the In-Service Support (ISS) project for Training Center Operations (TCO) Canada, in collaboration with Training Center Site Managers and internal support functions, in alignment with PMO governance.
Oversee financial and operational resources to meet contractual obligations and ensure project profitability.
Manage low- to medium-risk projects or phases of larger projects and contribute to product line and process improvement initiatives.
Develop and execute project management plans for projects of low to medium complexity.
Establish project goals and objectives with potential financial impact.
Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to team members.
Recommend and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop procedures and guidelines for project execution.
Identify gaps in customer technical specifications and propose solutions.
Direct multiple concurrent projects involving resource allocation, scheduling, and subcontracting activities.
Negotiate subcontract terms and workshare agreements.
Resolve scheduling and workload challenges through prioritization.
Act as the primary liaison with customers on project matters, including negotiations and acceptance.
Support proposal development, including technical, cost, and schedule aspects.
Implement and manage project work breakdown structures.
Coordinate project technical activities.
Contribute to recruitment and people management activities (e.g., performance feedback).
Identify opportunities for contract amendments or scope expansion to improve project outcomes or financial performance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Commerce, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience
Experience managing low- to medium-complexity projects
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Fluency in English and French
Ability to travel occasionally within Canada
Eligibility to obtain and hold Canadian Security Clearance and Controlled Goods clearance
Legal authorization to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit)
PMP certification or equivalent accreditation
