About the role

  • Technology Project Management Office student role at Canada Life providing project management and data analysis support. Participating in technology transformation initiatives within a global organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Technology PMO in governing and advancing delivery excellence across Lifeco by contributing to research, analysis, reporting, and operational oversight.
  • Support Canada Life’s Project Portfolio Management platform (Clarity) by helping to collect requirements, manage test data and participate in testing.
  • Support development of updated Resource Management processes by working with project managers and resource managers to review project intake requests, team member assignments, and by identifying and addressing allocation issues.
  • Contribute to Centralized Reporting by compiling, validating, and synthesizing portfolio-level insights using Clarity, and by working with the data analysis and reporting team to develop and update reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with PMO Mentors to learn PMO methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • Must be a student registered in a Canadian College or University.
  • Preference will be given to students enrolled in a registered Co-op program.
  • 2-3 years of academic or practical experience in business, technology, analytics, or related fields.
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with Power BI is an asset.
  • Curiosity about technology strategy, delivery practices, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Collaborative mindset, open to feedback and comfortable working in a team.
  • Strong time-management skills and attention to detail.
