About the role

  • Project Manager overseeing GIS and surveying project execution at Cansel. Supporting complex geospatial projects across Canada and North America.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Survey and GIS teams to assess client requirements, scope projects, and create detailed proposals.
  • Define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with client goals.
  • Oversee project execution, resource allocation, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance on GIS tools and Trimble survey workflows.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and milestones, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
  • Facilitate communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members, maintaining transparency and alignment.
  • Conduct regular project reviews, update stakeholders, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support the integration of GIS solutions into existing workflows, customizing them as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management for survey and GIS-related projects.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Strong technical depth, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex geospatial data into clear, actionable insights for clients.
  • Experience with mobile mapping systems, asset extraction workflows, and structured GIS data models is essential.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SmartSheet, Salesforce).
  • Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and deliver outstanding results.
  • Bilingual in English and French, with strong communication skills preferred.
