About the role
- Project Manager overseeing GIS and surveying project execution at Cansel. Supporting complex geospatial projects across Canada and North America.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Survey and GIS teams to assess client requirements, scope projects, and create detailed proposals.
- Define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with client goals.
- Oversee project execution, resource allocation, and adherence to quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance on GIS tools and Trimble survey workflows.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and milestones, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
- Facilitate communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members, maintaining transparency and alignment.
- Conduct regular project reviews, update stakeholders, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Support the integration of GIS solutions into existing workflows, customizing them as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management for survey and GIS-related projects.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Strong technical depth, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex geospatial data into clear, actionable insights for clients.
- Experience with mobile mapping systems, asset extraction workflows, and structured GIS data models is essential.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SmartSheet, Salesforce).
- Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and deliver outstanding results.
- Bilingual in English and French, with strong communication skills preferred.
