Responsibilities
Support team members and leaders in planning and coordinating learning projects, ensuring clear identification of timelines, resource requirements and deliverables.
Evaluate and update programs and courses to ensure alignment with best practices in learning.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders through regular communications and updates.
Conduct stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, establish project goals and report on progress.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to validate content requirements while ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate open communication channels and create a shared understanding of project goals and objectives.
Convert complex business training into self-paced online and instructor-led learning experiences.
Apply the ADDIE framework and best practices in instructional design when creating and maintaining program content.
Conduct needs analysis for program and course design, identifying the problem to solve and business impacts, goals and anticipated outcomes, performance and learning objectives, and timeline requirements.
Select appropriate pedagogies and instructional modalities, such as instructor-led, self-paced online learning, and micro-learning.
Using an agile approach, create instructional design documents, storyboards, and author courses and programs while incorporating client feedback as appropriate.
Create supporting materials for training, including reference guides, job aids, manuals, and presentations.
Creatively incorporate interactive elements and multimedia components to enhance learner engagement, knowledge transfer and retention, and skill development.
Manage evaluation and feedback mechanisms throughout the instructional design and development process.
Requirements
6+ years related experience in progressive instructional design experience in a corporate environment.
Completed postsecondary degree in a related field such as Education, Adult Education, Instructional Design or other degree with an education focus.
Completed certification in instructional design, adult education, E-learning, or curriculum development certification from an accredited institution.
Strong writing skills, particularly with regard to grammar and mechanics.
Proficiency with adult learning and instructional design theories and pedagogies.
Expertise using E-learning authoring tools such as the Articulate 360 suite.
Experience in responsible artificial intelligence-assisted content development.
Strong time management, organization and prioritization skills, attention to detail.
Ability to manage projects independently.
Preference will be given to individuals with experience developing training for different levels of corporate leadership or developing training for group sales within the health benefits and insurance industry.
