Responsibilities
Supporting families as they navigate paying their nannies and making sure nannies get paid on time and accurately.
Calculating, entering, and reviewing payroll information for families and nannies.
Preparing various payroll reports while handling confidential and highly sensitive information.
Balancing high-priority tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
Investigating and fixing payroll discrepancies to ensure customer satisfaction.
Explaining payroll concepts to families unfamiliar with payroll.
Requirements
Experience in payroll. You easily understand the differences between hourly and salary pay, public holidays, vacation, and non-taxable compensation. You have at least 2 years of payroll experience; US experience is preferred, but not required. You have at least 1 year of payroll tax experience; US experience is preferred, but not required.
Excellent attention to detail. You’ll be calculating, entering, and reviewing payroll information for families and nannies. You’ll ensure that each pay run is accurate for our weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly cycles. You’ll be preparing various payroll reports while handling confidential and highly sensitive information.
Incredibly organized. You’ll be balancing high-priority tasks and moving efficiently and effectively to meet tight deadlines so that payroll can meet the needs of its day-to-day operations. You’ll be working to improve the efficiency of our processes alongside our Payroll Operations Manager and Customer Care team.
Take ownership. You’ll be investigating and fixing any payroll discrepancies to ensure we meet our customers' needs. You’ll follow up with other team members as needed to make sure that we resolve any problems that arise.
Customer-first. We’re looking for someone who knows that on the other side of each phone or email is a family looking to make sure that their nanny is being paid on time, or a nanny looking to ensure they can pay their bills. We’re looking for someone who is able to explain payroll concepts to families who aren’t familiar with payroll.
Eager to learn. Working with our Payroll Operations Manager, you’ll learn about US payroll. You’ll easily navigate between federal, state, and local regulations and labor laws to ensure all of our clients are maintaining compliance.
MUST be eligible to work in Canada, and must live in Canada.
