About the role

  • Field Case Manager coordinating patient access, reimbursement, and medication support for Cencora’s pharmaceutical solutions programs. Guiding physicians, patients, and healthcare providers across Ontario through AbbVie Care services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for physicians
  • Communicate with patients and program stakeholders and build trusted relationships
  • Educate healthcare providers and staff on program services, patient support resources, therapy, reimbursement, and enrollment processes
  • Review patient charts and ensure completion of documentation, special authorizations, enrollment forms, and prescription renewals
  • Own the special authorization process and ensure timely, accurate submissions and reimbursement guidance
  • Provide physicians with updates and guidance on patient status, program changes, and best practices
  • Adapt program elements to healthcare-provider needs and personalize in-clinic and remote support
  • Identify and address quality-improvement opportunities
  • Attend Continuous Healthcare Education events with healthcare professionals, including outside regular business hours when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN), BSc in Pharmacy, another science degree, or equivalent transferable skills
  • Knowledge of public or private third-party reimbursement
  • Bilingualism is an asset and required for Quebec
  • Previous Case Manager experience is an asset
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Comprehension of medical terminology
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to engage physicians and staff as a trusted medical counterpart
  • Excellent time management and sense of urgency
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with program associates
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting
  • Effective oral and written communication in English and French for Quebec and New Brunswick
  • Detail- and results-oriented
  • Ability to adapt to change and ambiguity
  • Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Ability to attend CHE events outside regular business hours when required
  • Valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Possess a car
  • Adherence to program performance standards and procedures
  • Private, dedicated home office space accommodating supplied equipment
