About the role
- Strategic account manager growing Chainlink’s blockchain oracle services across major DeFi protocols. Advising stakeholders, closing complex deals, and coordinating integrations and launches.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategic DeFi accounts, including lending, perpetuals/derivatives, LSTs and LRTs
- Support and grow adoption of Chainlink services among top DeFi protocols
- Build multi-threaded relationships with founders, core contributors, risk teams, DAO delegates and service providers
- Understand each protocol’s roadmap, governance and economics to shape Chainlink’s role and value
- Bring customer feedback and feature requests to Product, Engineering and GTM
- Influence product roadmap and prioritization based on customer needs
- Coordinate Solutions Architects, Product, Legal and Marketing for integrations, launches and co-marketing
- Ensure delivery meets internal and partner expectations and objectives
Requirements
- 3+ years of extensive account, new business and/or relationship management experience in technical environments
- Experience managing large and complex accounts and engaging stakeholders at all levels and functions
- Knowledge of web3/blockchain technology and strong experience with DeFi, including personal hands-on experience
- Clear understanding of how Chainlink integrates with DeFi protocols and its value
- Technical fluency in product and architecture discussions with protocol engineers
- Strong commercial judgment and negotiation skills
- Experience structuring and closing multi-stakeholder deals, including custom high-value arrangements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage several high-importance accounts simultaneously in an ambiguous, fast-moving, globally distributed environment
- Ability to travel 20%+
- Hands-on development experience on web3/DeFi projects preferred
- Strong experience dealing with DAOs preferred
- Technical background or ability to read Solidity and on-chain data preferred
- Knowledge of data infrastructure/oracles, interoperability and orchestration market landscape preferred
- Exposure to institutional or TradFi-adjacent DeFi preferred
- Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up preferred
- Must reside in an approved hiring jurisdiction
- Must maintain primary residence in the advertised location throughout employment
- Remote work outside the primary country of residence cannot exceed 90 days per calendar year
- Working hours must overlap with Eastern Time (ET), unless otherwise stated
