About the role

  • Maintenance Planner coordinating predictive maintenance, outages, budgeting, and work orders at Coeur Silvertip’s Northern British Columbia mine. Working two weeks in and two weeks out at a remote camp.

Responsibilities

  • Follow up on work requests from various individuals and groups
  • Create work order activities and ensure resources, materials, and documentation are available to complete tasks safely
  • Forecast and schedule routine maintenance
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with frontline supervisors
  • Create purchase requisitions, sole-source justifications, and stock/non-stock parts requests with procurement
  • Prepare outage and equipment rebuild plans with operations, maintenance, and safety groups
  • Prepare schedules and lead weekly planning and outage meetings
  • Record and distribute schedules, meeting minutes, and action plans
  • Track and maintain asset history
  • Prepare technical documentation, including drawings and procedural instructions
  • Ensure completed or required work is efficiently documented
  • Track and manage weekly/monthly planning KPIs
  • Develop major component replacement schedules based on equipment history and support budgeting
  • Promote continuous improvement across the Coeur Silvertip operation

Requirements

  • Maintenance technician/Technologist, Certified tradesman or a combination of education and work experience
  • Computer literacy with specific knowledge of Oracle, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project
  • 10+ years’ experience in a maintenance discipline with strong knowledge of mobile maintenance
  • 5 years of equipment maintenance planning related experience
  • Mining background an asset
  • Cost and budgeting skills
  • Experience in predictive maintenance utilizing oil and vibration analysis and non-destructive testing
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork and ability to develop and foster strong working relationships
  • Strong sense of integrity and ethics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse cross-cultural workforce
  • Willingness to work a two-week rotation schedule with 12-hour shifts per day at a remote camp
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
