Payroll Associate responsible for processing payroll and managing complex inquiries for clients. Must be PCP certified and experienced in Canadian payroll practices.
Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly/semi-monthly/monthly payroll on time, making changes to payroll (adding/removing employees, adding/removing deductions, etc.)
Handle the T4 process and submit ROE forms amongst other payroll duties
Answer complex inquiries from clients related to payroll, providing recommendations and problem-solving
Analyze data while maintaining compliance, accuracy, and efficiency
Calculate and file health tax levies, taxes, and WCB for multiple provinces
Review CRA accounts and respond to notices
Correspond with clients and the bookkeeping team to ensure timely service and a hands-off experience

Requirements
PCP certified
At least 3-5 years of payroll experience in a fast-paced environment for a company or companies with multiple employees
Intimate understanding of the Canadian payroll process, including but not limited to withholding taxes, source deductions, other deductions, benefits, ROE forms, T4 slips, and more
Experience processing payroll in multiple provinces (QC is an asset)
