About the role

  • IT Specialist providing computer-related technical assistance and internal IT support at DSV in Calgary. Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT systems and networks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide various forms of computer-related technical assistance
  • Improve the efficiency of staff using technology
  • Provide internal IT support (server security, software updates, hardware maintenance)
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Support the roll-out of new applications and testing and evaluating new technology
  • Manage IT inventory

Requirements

  • Technical School, Bachelor level in IT preferred but not required
  • Min. 3 years of Experience from Enterprise environment
  • Good command, both verbal and written, English skills
  • Knowledge of VM platforms such as Citrix and Windows
  • Knowledge of Cisco IOS specifically with Security Appliances and Managed Switches
  • Knowledge of MS SQL and SharePoint; and Overall knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Windows OS
  • Intermediate troubleshooting skills of print related issues
  • Drive and Printer Mapping
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
