About the role
- IT Specialist providing computer-related technical assistance and internal IT support at DSV in Calgary. Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT systems and networks.
Responsibilities
- Provide various forms of computer-related technical assistance
- Improve the efficiency of staff using technology
- Provide internal IT support (server security, software updates, hardware maintenance)
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Support the roll-out of new applications and testing and evaluating new technology
- Manage IT inventory
Requirements
- Technical School, Bachelor level in IT preferred but not required
- Min. 3 years of Experience from Enterprise environment
- Good command, both verbal and written, English skills
- Knowledge of VM platforms such as Citrix and Windows
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS specifically with Security Appliances and Managed Switches
- Knowledge of MS SQL and SharePoint; and Overall knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Windows OS
- Intermediate troubleshooting skills of print related issues
- Drive and Printer Mapping
- Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
