Responsibilities
- Supporting the Project Lead in execution of projects.
- Drafting as-built and redline plans for construction surveys (piles, topographic surveys, material cut/fill, pipelines).
- Performing calculations for piles, anchor bolts, and foundations.
- Designing and calculating quantities using AutoCAD Civil 3D with multi-layered surfaces.
- Producing clean, professional deliverables that meet client and industry standards.
- Collaborating with field crews and project leads to understand project scope and deliver results efficiently.
- Liaising directly with clients, offering technical solutions and outstanding customer service.
- Performing quality control on field data, computations, and drawings.
- Interpreting and applying engineering and construction IFC drawings.
- Maintaining a working understanding of land survey principles and the Western Canadian land tenure system.
- Operating independently within CORE’s remote virtual work environment.
- Providing on-call support for evening or weekend field emergencies when required.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in construction and engineering surveys.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and field-to-finish workflows.
- Experience across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure construction.
- A detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Exceptional communication and client-relation skills.
- A creative and solutions-focused mindset with the ability to think beyond the standard approach.
