About the role

  • Canadian Payroll Specialist overseeing payroll operations for hourly, salaried, and unionized employees across Canada. Resolving payroll related issues and ensuring compliance with Canadian regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end to end payroll operations across multiple provinces
  • Administer full cycle payroll processing for hourly, salaried, and unionized employees across Canada
  • Assist with US payroll processing
  • Validate timekeeping, earnings, deductions, taxable benefits and adjustments
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule
  • Reconcile payroll registers, general ledgers and year end balances
  • Generate payroll reports for finance, human resources and leadership teams

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Canadian payroll experience with high volume, large multi-national company
  • Experience working with UKG PRO/UltiPro preferred
  • Experience with ADP preferred
  • Bi-lingual, English & French
  • Bachelor’s degree required (those without degrees but equivalent experience are encouraged to apply)
  • Canadian Payroll Certification from the National Payroll Institute (formerly CPA) strongly preferred
