About the role

  • Field Claims Adjuster investigating, scoping, and settling property, casualty, and liability claims for ClaimsPro. Supporting policyholders, claimants, and clients across the Saskatoon area in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Actively adjust claims
  • Maximize business development opportunities through timely marketing and follow-up
  • Promptly contact and follow up with policyholders and claimants
  • Investigate claim causes and report findings and recommendations to clients
  • Use supplied technology, such as Docusketch, to scope and establish quantum of damages
  • Identify exposures and recommend reserves and required investigations
  • Prepare action plans and negotiate fair and satisfactory settlements
  • Provide high-level customer service to clients and insureds throughout the claims process
  • Participate in after-hours customer service requirements when required
  • Perform assigned duties in compliance with established work standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements

  • Completion of high school education
  • University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance will be given preference
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive)
  • At least 2 years' relevant experience in claims adjusting
  • Must be able to immediately qualify for a level 1 SK adjuster's license
  • Ongoing commitment to education and learning, preferably pursuing CIP designation
  • Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause-and-effect dynamics
  • Ability to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them
  • Ability to interpret complex legal documents
  • Ability to perform and understand advanced numerical calculations, including comparative analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, interviewing, and negotiating
  • Ability to flex communication style appropriately to the audience
  • Proactive and positive approach to customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills for handling conflict and difficult situations
