About the role

  • Air import operations coordinator processing inbound shipments for DSV, a global transport and logistics company. Coordinating carriers, documentation, tracking, costs, compliance, and customer resolutions.

Responsibilities

  • Process all air import shipments from start to finish, coordinating movement and monitoring shipments in transit
  • Handle shipments in compliance with DSV policies and government regulations
  • Serve as the primary customer contact and provide high-quality customer service
  • Communicate with customers, overseas offices, airlines, warehouses, and truckers
  • Manage and coordinate shipments daily
  • Establish schedules with carriers and tender shipments
  • Create and coordinate country-specific documents
  • Track and trace shipments
  • Prepare and publish reports as requested
  • Identify problems proactively and implement appropriate solutions
  • Confirm carrier rates and contain shipment costs using the accounting system
  • Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, and select cost-effective pickup and delivery methods
  • Ensure DSV KPIs are met throughout shipment movements
  • Perform lane analysis to select the appropriate transport mode based on customer requirements
  • Communicate with customers regarding relevant issues and resolutions
  • Manage new account implementation from standard operating procedure through execution
  • Support DSV’s quality, health, safety, and environmental objectives and targets
  • Follow DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy and sustainability requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum one to two years of international transportation industry experience, or education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field
  • Good verbal and written English skills
  • Proficient in English and French
  • Ability to create collaborative engagements and actively listen
  • Service-oriented approach and ability to resolve customer grievances
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask, plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • CIFFA certificate is an asset
  • Dangerous Goods Certification is an asset
  • GDP training, if required
  • CargoWise experience is an asset
  • Ability to work prolonged periods sitting and standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Regular working hours apply; work beyond these hours may be required by business needs
