About the role
- Tender Manager leading RFI, RFP, and RFQ proposals, pricing, and stakeholder coordination for DSV’s global transport and logistics operations in Canada. Supporting competitive bids, market analysis, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end tender management process for competitive, accurate, customer-focused proposals
- Own Tender Management standards and ensure compliance across tender activities
- Analyze tenders, define requirements, distribute tasks, validate stakeholder inputs, and manage deadlines
- Oversee RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses, including proposal structure, pricing matrices, clarifications, and submissions
- Deliver proposal packages to bid owners and/or EPS offices for final validation and client submission
- Assess tender opportunities and recommend commercial and operational solutions
- Support and maintain pricing databases for transportation, logistics, distribution, and value-added services
- Maintain tender profiles, documentation, monthly bid logs, and completed-tender records
- Act as the primary contact for Global offices regarding Canada-related pricing inquiries
- Monitor competitor pricing, capabilities, and market positioning
- Partner with Business Development Managers on front-end sales activities and pricing requests
- Create and maintain tender materials, including resumes, process flows, SOPs, and organizational charts
- Support ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 requirements, sustainability, safety, quality, and risk-mitigation initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of freight forwarding, logistics, or tender/pricing experience at Coordinator level or higher
- Experience with pricing or tender processes preferred
- CIFFA or equivalent logistics education is an asset
- Dangerous Goods Certification is an asset
- Strong leadership in cross-functional coordination without direct reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication for internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills interpreting cost structures, commercial terms, and tender requirements
- Solid understanding of logistics processes and freight-forwarding cost drivers
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines through structured planning and prioritization
- High integrity, professionalism, and resilience under time-sensitive pressure
- Customer-focused ability to propose optimized or alternative solutions
- English is the principal language for the position
- Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Occasional travel may be required
- Regular working hours apply; work beyond these hours may be required by business needs
