About the role

  • Resident Building Manager overseeing leasing, resident services, maintenance, compliance, and emergencies. Supporting Wesgroup’s Vancouver mixed-use residential community and building operations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and respond to resident inquiries and service requests
  • Foster positive resident relationships and a welcoming community environment
  • Market and lease available suites, conduct showings, screen applicants, and complete tenancy documentation
  • Facilitate credit and reference checks through Yuhu
  • Coordinate move-in and move-out inspections and maintain resident records
  • Manage amenity room and elevator bookings and conduct inspections
  • Oversee day-to-day property operations and common-area and building-system maintenance
  • Conduct building inspections and identify preventative maintenance opportunities
  • Coordinate building deficiencies, repairs, and maintenance projects
  • Perform minor repairs, touch-up painting, cleaning, and general maintenance
  • Manage contractor, trade, and service-provider relationships
  • Monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems
  • Notify Property Management of major repairs and capital maintenance needs
  • Collect, reconcile, deposit, and record rent payments, arrears, and resident charges
  • Maintain building accounts, records, documentation, inventory, and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancy Act and applicable legislation
  • Issue breach and eviction notices and attend arbitration hearings
  • Maintain building security and resident, visitor, and contractor safety
  • Administer the Building Emergency Response Plan and test emergency systems monthly
  • Prepare incident reports and respond to after-hours emergencies
  • Manage building access systems, suite fobs, and enterphone systems
  • Provide vacation relief coverage across Wesgroup’s residential rental portfolio
  • Collaborate with Property Management and internal teams
  • Perform additional assigned duties

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in residential property management, building operations, hospitality, or a related customer-facing environment
  • Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act and applicable housing regulations
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Experience leasing residential rental properties and managing resident relations
  • Experience coordinating contractors, trades, and maintenance activities
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems
  • Experience with Yardi and Yuhu is considered an asset
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when required
  • Physically capable of painting, cleaning, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
