About the role

  • Technical Representative delivering specialty chemical solutions to Alberta fleet wash, surface treatment, water treatment, and industrial customers. Servicing equipment, conducting testing, managing accounts, and supporting customer growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical service supporting product application at customer sites and create account satisfaction and retention
  • Manage multiple customers across the assigned geography using various product lines
  • Provide customer assistance, information, and support; handle inquiries and ensure satisfaction
  • Service DuBois equipment, including repairs, replacements, and installations
  • Conduct chemical testing and manage inventory
  • Provide value-added personal service to customers
  • Report and document findings and abnormal conditions, communicate results, and offer recommendations
  • Resolve customers’ technical challenges and assist with process improvement
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members and cross-functional support employees
  • Learn and assist with DuBois eTools, System Surveys, and Cost Calculators
  • Enter chemical test results, meter/setpoint readings, inventory level/dosage rate data, GPS location, and service time into an Analytics platform or equivalent system
  • Travel to assigned customers to conduct service audits
  • Work with sales leaders to drive growth among existing customers and prospective accounts

Requirements

  • 2+ years of mechanical, chemical, or industrial experience
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to understand the company’s products and services
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in technical/mechanical on-site testing
  • Ability to adjust to various customer needs and situations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and other analytical tools
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, including overnight travel
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
