About the role

  • Senior Business Development Manager scaling complex product partnerships for DuckDuckGo, an online protection company. Shaping AI, search, subscription, and distribution initiatives with strategic partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead DuckDuckGo’s most complex product partnerships and drive partnership strategy
  • Source, negotiate, and scale high-impact deals across search, Duck.ai, Privacy Pro subscriptions, and related products
  • Create 0-to-1 partnership playbooks and structure deals involving product, economics, and strategic value
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Legal
  • Manage a portfolio of competing and complementary partner relationships
  • Navigate pricing, capabilities, and competitive dynamics in the AI market
  • Identify partnerships to enhance Duck.ai and Search Assist
  • Identify opportunities to improve products and drive user engagement and retention
  • Create new distribution channels to grow AI-related services

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Business Development, Partnerships, or Strategic Partnerships experience
  • 2+ years of cross-functional leadership on partnership projects and teams, including Legal and Engineering
  • Experience with consumer internet or user-facing software businesses
  • Understanding of the AI/LLM ecosystem and integration of AI capabilities into consumer products
  • Significant experience leading complex product partnerships end-to-end, from opportunity identification through deal close and beyond
  • Experience creating new products or initiatives with partners and navigating product and technical complexity
  • Ability to independently draft terms, build financial models, and pressure-test deal structures while partnering with Legal and Finance
  • Experience managing a portfolio of complex strategic partner relationships
  • Understanding of tradeoffs between competing and complementary providers
  • Located in the United States or Canada
  • Must pass a background check as a condition of joining
  • Must attend meetings on camera via video conferencing
  • Average full-time commitment of 40 hours per week
  • Must be able to attend at least two company events or retreats per year
