About the role

  • Engineer-in-Training in Power Generation supporting critical assets across North America. Balancing field work with analytical tasks while ensuring reliability and performance of power systems.

Responsibilities

  • balance hands-on field work with in-depth analytical engineering performed from your home office
  • analyze field data, develop and refine test plans, prepare for field assignments, build mathematical models, run simulations, document technical results
  • direct generation resources through planned tests at power generation facilities, capturing high-quality data for analysis
  • maintain a balanced mix of field and office work, supported by extensive training and mentorship

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or related discipline focused on controls or power systems
  • Undergraduate-level exposure to power generation fundamentals
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the year for field work
  • Background in control theory, including experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel
  • Authorized to work in Canada, able to pass a background check, lift up to 50 pounds, and possess a valid driver’s license
