About the role

  • Sales Engineer providing technical support and education for dealer customers on Control4 products. Collaborating with sales teams and managing relationships to drive success in automation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the trusted technical expert and partner to dealer customers.
  • Provide high-level technical support, education, and hands-on assistance.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to boost productivity.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and support for dealer projects.
  • Deliver on-site and virtual training, project design consultations, and technical expertise.
  • Maintain strong internal communication regarding customer opportunities and service needs.
  • Foster long-term customer satisfaction by building and nurturing relationships.
  • Independently manage a dynamic schedule and prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales, customer-facing, or technical support role within the AV/integration industry.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Control4 and/or other home automation/control systems.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable business results (e.g., increased sales, successful project deployments, customer retention).
  • Strong system design skills combined with practical, hands-on installation and troubleshooting experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and executive/client relationship management skills.
  • Control4 certification (or equivalent PCNA/Snap One certifications).
  • Advanced Control4 training and/or additional manufacturer certifications in related automation, networking, or AV technologies.
