About the role

  • EY Assurance Senior Manager delivering complex audits and quality assurance services for clients. Building teams, managing engagements, and developing business opportunities in Saskatoon.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality assurance services to clients and their stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management
  • Establish expectations of value to be delivered
  • Lead and participate in audit procedures, focusing on complex and specialized issues
  • Plan engagement objectives and audit strategy in compliance with professional standards and risk requirements
  • Understand client industries, performance drivers, business trends, and technical developments
  • Monitor general business and economic developments affecting clients
  • Develop people, delegate work, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback and training
  • Use technology to learn, share knowledge, and enhance service delivery
  • Maintain ongoing professional education and skills development
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with other engagement teams
  • Monitor engagement progress against plans and adjust as needed
  • Generate new business opportunities and identify ways to apply EY service lines
  • Develop long-term internal and external relationships and networks

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience using IFRS and US GAAP
  • Canadian CPA, CA designation or reciprocal CPA, CA designation mandatory
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS conversion
  • Knowledge of SOX and GAAP
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Dedication to teamwork and leadership

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Post-graduate diploma or degree in Accounting preferred
