About the role

  • Quality Automation Engineer building automated tests for Flexera’s IT asset management SaaS. Supporting CI/CD quality, defect analysis, and reliable software delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and design comprehensive test plans for functional automation testing
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability using NUnit, MSTest, or an equivalent framework
  • Set up and configure automated testing environments and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines
  • Identify and prioritize test cases for automation based on risk, impact, and coverage
  • Work with software developers to integrate automated tests into the development process and provide timely feedback on code quality
  • Investigate and analyze test failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Perform manual testing for scenarios that cannot be automated
  • Identify, isolate, and document software defects using established defect tracking tools
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and testability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering
  • Strong proficiency in designing and implementing automated test scripts using testing frameworks such as Selenium, NUnit, or TestNG
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C#, GO, Python, or another relevant language
  • Strong technical expertise in cloud computing, preferably AWS, with experience in Terraform and VPC
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and continuous integration practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively document test plans, test cases, and defects
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins is a plus
