About the role
- Project Manager leading complex, multidisciplinary building projects for GHD's Property & Buildings team. Collaborating with a high-performing team to deliver excellent client outcomes in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of multidisciplinary facilities projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations are met or exceeded
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships through clear communication and a solutions-oriented approach
- Assembling and lead high-performing internal project teams, fostering collaboration across engineering and specialist disciplines
- Applying strong project management fundamentals to proactively manage schedules, resources, risks, and financial performance
- Leading project kick-offs, internal coordination meetings, and client touchpoints to maintain alignment and momentum
- Identifying project risks and opportunities early, implementing mitigation strategies that protect project outcomes and client relationships
- Supporting business development and winning-work activities, including proposal development, scope definition, work planning, and fee estimation
- Contributing to repeat business by identifying follow-on work and value-added services during project execution
- Demonstrating a high level of ownership, accountability, and professionalism in all aspects of project delivery
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in project management within property, buildings, facilities, industrial, or infrastructure-related environments
- Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment delivering multidisciplinary building design/construction projects
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
- Formal or practical training in project management principles (PMP certification considered an asset but not required)
- Strong commercial awareness, including an understanding of cost control, risk management, and profitability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility with clients, project teams, and business leaders
- Confidence navigating discussions related to scope, schedule, cost, and change management
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (scheduling, financial tracking, reporting, document management)
