Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end delivery of federal, industrial, institutional and specialized infrastructure projects, from planning and procurement through design, construction and closeout.
Establish governance frameworks, project scope, delivery strategies, work plans, schedules, budgets and risk management plans.
Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across architecture, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, security and other specialized disciplines.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, federal agencies, contractors, owner representatives and delivery partners.
Deliver projects using a range of delivery models, including design-build, design-build-finance, construction management, alliance, public-private partnership and design-bid-build.
Provide regional leadership for the major, federal and industrial projects team in Eastern Canada.
Supervise up to 10 professionals, including project managers, project coordinators and technical professionals.
Lead workforce and succession planning, resource allocation and utilization management.
Support recruitment, onboarding, performance improvement and career development.
Collaborate with leadership to identify skills gaps, develop growth strategies and strengthen team capabilities.
Promote consistency in delivery, governance, risk management and quality practices across the Eastern Canada portfolio.
Uphold GHD’s commitments to health, safety, quality and the environment.
Requirements
Degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related technical discipline.
More than 15 years of progressive project delivery experience, including complex building or infrastructure projects and work in the industrial, federal or institutional sectors.
Proven project delivery experience for Defence Construction Canada (DCC), Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), federal agencies or public-sector organizations, industrial owner-operators or similar clients.
Demonstrated experience managing projects valued at more than $25 million, including projects delivered under various delivery models.
Excellent understanding of project governance, procurement, health and safety, stakeholder management and regulatory requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English-French bilingualism is an asset.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of varying scope and complexity.
