About the role

  • Sales Engineer role at Global Payments connecting technical solutions with client needs through product expertise and implementation. Collaborating closely with sales teams and partners to drive successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across all time zones and regions
  • Manage resources for sales engineering calls
  • Ensure timely handling of sales engineering requests from our sales organizations and partners
  • Be responsible for providing the sales team with the technical expertise needed to enable them to sell our products
  • Identify potential improvements and prioritize features and corresponding business cases in collaboration with our product team
  • Provide consultative support to key internal and external stakeholders and become a key product expert
  • Maintain expertise across all payment and acquiring solutions—online, in-person, and omnichannel

Requirements

  • More than five (5) years of technical experience, including at least three (3) years in the payments industry
  • Extensive experience with the technical aspects of e-commerce, mobile devices, or point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Technical degree or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong experience learning and explaining payment system integrations
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time to meet prospective clients and internal staff
  • Ability to provide bilingual support (French and English) is a strong asset
