About the role

  • Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer designing secure networking solutions for HPE across Canada. Leading technical discovery sessions and collaborating with account managers, partners, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Animate technical workshops to understand clients' business drivers, network environments, and security requirements.
  • Design and present scalable security architectures incorporating secure SD-WAN, SSE, identity-based access control, and firewalls.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept that showcase HPE Networking offerings, including SD-WAN, ZTNA, SWG, CASB and DEM use cases.
  • Position and integrate solutions within the HPE Security and Networking portfolio, including Hybrid Mesh firewalls and cloud datacenter security architectures.
  • Contribute to business development by responding to RFPs, RFIs and security questionnaires with clear, technically accurate documentation and diagrams.
  • Collaborate closely with account managers, subject-matter experts, partners and services teams to ensure successful sales outcomes.
  • Present confidently to technical audiences and decision-makers, including security managers and architects.
  • Provide field feedback to product and engineering teams to influence roadmap and solution improvements.
  • Travel across the region to attend customer meetings, partner engagements, workshops and industry events.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in pre-sales technical roles, sales engineering, or solutions architecture within security, networking or cloud domains.
  • Hands-on experience with SASE, Zero Trust, hybrid mesh firewalls and cloud security architectures.
  • Strong understanding of security technologies such as firewalls, IPsec, SSL-VPN, IDS/IPS and traffic inspection.
  • Proficiency in networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, BGP and OSPF.
  • Knowledge of identity and access concepts including SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC and role-based access control.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud).
