About the role

  • GM District Manager driving dealer sales, market share, and customer experience across Alberta. Analyzing performance data, vehicle ordering, customer satisfaction, accessories, OnStar, and leasing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and influence Dealers in Central & Southern Alberta.
  • Deploy initiatives with Regional Manager and Regional Marketing Managers to achieve retail sales and market share goals.
  • Maximize revenue and build strong Dealer partnerships by driving sales performance and improving customer experience.
  • Achieve retail sales and share objectives through District and Dealer Action plans.
  • Analyze sales, inventory, market share, demographic and competitive intelligence data to identify sales opportunities.
  • Analyze Dealership Operating Report to identify efficiency and sales-growth opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to maximize vehicle ordering coverage and align Dealer ordering patterns with regional strategies and market opportunities.
  • Build a customer-focused culture within Dealers and ensure supporting processes and procedures.
  • Drive Customer Satisfaction Index performance and improve underperforming Dealerships.
  • Manage customer complaints and support win-win resolutions.
  • Champion retail digital customer experience and retail innovation.
  • Drive product training participation.
  • Drive Accessories revenue through upfront ordering, showroom selling and merchandising.
  • Drive OnStar activations through Welcome Call onboarding and Mobile App usage.
  • Drive GM Financial Leasing Penetration.

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant work experience (District Sales Manager experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proven track record of sales growth and relationship building
  • Outstanding analytical abilities combined with strong decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional environments
  • Understanding of OEM distribution processes, field sales tools and reports
  • Willingness to travel and to work extended hours on occasion if required (eg. month-end)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma preferably in Business.
  • Must not require GM immigration-related sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Required to travel at least 50% or more on a frequent basis.
