About the role

Mechanical Engineering Technician maintaining and repairing industrial plants for AB Energy Canada. Conducting mechanical inspections, testing, installation, and customer-site service across Canada.

Responsibilities

Assist the Field Service Supervisor and colleagues in the assigned zone with monitoring and maintenance activities for plants.
Assist in inspecting mechanical installations.
Perform analyses, mechanical tests, and maintenance of machines and equipment.
Participate in installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment.
Read blueprints and drawings.
Perform ordinary maintenance autonomously according to the schedule agreed with the SAM.
Increase competence in diagnosing different types of breakdowns.
Provide customer service directly on site.
Support the dedicated team with extraordinary maintenance when needed.
Be operational and reachable when availability is required.
Manage assigned materials needed for maintenance and inform the SAM when additional materials are required.
Ensure continuous and correct plant operation.
Complete maintenance punctually, accurately, and on time.
Address customer requests in cooperation with the Service Area Manager.
Keep the plant clean and tidy.

Electro-mechanical background
A minimum of 2 years experience in the petroleum, coal, gas product industry.
A minimum of 2 years experience in the installation, testing, repair and maintenance of mechanical machinery.
Working knowledge of English
Working knowledge of Italian is preferred.
A valid Passport - no restrictions.
A valid Driver's License.

Priority will be given to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents and those authorised to work in Canada under employer unrestricted work permits (Open work permit).
Travel is required to our other Canadian branches and may be required for our other internationally based branches.
