Therapeutic Specialist responsible for driving business growth in hematology oncology. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to improve patient access to innovative medicines in B.C.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic business sales plan that maximises territory growth, including setting short- and long-term objectives to achieve and surpass targets
Build and maintain strong relationships with hematology oncology customers, allied healthcare professionals, and hospital/cancer centres
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of customers, hospitals, and the provincial/hospital oncology environment, including identifying the best levers to bring value to key decision-makers
Maintain a deep understanding of GSK products, strategies, positioning, and plans of action within the hematology oncology space
Maintain a strong understanding of competitor companies, products, positioning, and how HCPs view the overall treatment landscape
Effectively engage healthcare professionals in scientific discussions that appropriately challenge the status quo and ensure optimal use of GSK medicines for the right patient at the right time
Develop strong internal relationships and collaborate fearlessly with cross-functional colleagues across field and head office to create impactful, patient-focused solutions
Embrace accountability and empowerment to make timely, informed decisions that consider both internal and external stakeholders
Take a broad, strategic view when making trade-off decisions and identify the best opportunities to support HCPs across the country
Manage multiple priorities, multitask effectively, and handle a high volume of activities while delivering against timelines

Ensure full compliance with all internal rules, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all interactions

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree completed, advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience preferred
Significant and recent hematological oncology experience (minimum 5 years) is preferred, especially in markets inclusive of key academic centers
In the absence of current hematological oncology expertise, proven and outstanding performance in launching a product in a competitive market is essential
Self-starter who is driven by desire to leave a lasting positive impact on the healthcare system and hematology oncology patients regardless of barriers
Strong track record of collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, patient-focused solutions
Innovative, agile and fearless collaborator with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, a natural curiosity, and an ability to actively listen
Experience in multi-tasking, prioritizing, managing a breadth and volume of activities on a day to day basis to satisfactory conclusion and delivering to the required timelines
Working knowledge of computer technology, Office-based applications and agility to learn new programs
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to travel within territory and domestically as required.
