About the role

  • Project Manager providing leadership in capital construction projects for the City of Hamilton. Ensuring compliance with standards and delivering effective construction management in a multi-functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to technical staff in construction management
  • Manage large-scale capital construction projects
  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and legislative requirements
  • Maintain project control and monitor budget and schedule
  • Provide technical assistance and customer service focus to staff and consultants

Requirements

  • Minimum ten years of progressive work experience in civil engineering or related fields
  • Proven knowledge of civil engineering, construction theories, and practices
  • Experience in project management or contract inspections
  • Ability to manage large contracts and projects
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Must have a Class 'G' Driver's Licence and personal vehicle for work
