Our top 5 banking client is looking for a Sr. Project Manager for a contract role in downtown Toronto, requiring 3 days/week onsite.
About the role
- Project Manager leading capital construction projects and technical staff at the City of Hamilton. Responsibilities include managing construction compliance, schedules, and project budgets.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to technical staff in the delivery of concurrent capital improvement projects
- Responsible for the construction management and administration of large-scale capital construction projects
- Ensure projects are constructed in compliance with City, Provincial and Federal regulations
- Maintain control and monitoring of projects to ensure they are completed within schedule and budget
- Implement strategies to improve effectiveness and efficiency
Requirements
- Extensive (minimum of ten years) progressive work experience in civil engineering and construction management
- Demonstrated experience in project management, design, coordination, and/or inspections related to municipal infrastructure
- Degree in civil engineering or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Proven knowledge of engineering and asset management theories, practices, and trends to manage large contracts and projects
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proven experience in delegation, mentorship, and contractual negotiations
- Strong ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form
- Class "G" Driver's Licence in the Province of Ontario
