- Senior Project Manager in Watershed Management for the City of Hamilton. Leading initiatives and projects related to watershed management and overseeing multi-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to staff in Watershed Management initiatives
- Accountable for development, implementation, and execution of watershed management related projects
- Oversee preparation of studies and reports on watershed management
- Direct and oversee consultant assignments
- Mentor staff and provide performance development
- Develop business cases for watershed improvements
- Coordinate scientific studies and funding programs
Requirements
- Knowledge of watershed management theories and practices
- Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Environmental Science
- Membership with the Professional Engineers of Ontario or equivalent is an asset
- Experience in project management of infrastructure investigation and construction projects
- Knowledge of health & safety and environmental legislation in Ontario
- Extensive knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure systems
- Effective facilitation, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage and work with a multi-disciplinary staff
