About the role

  • Senior Project Manager in Watershed Management for the City of Hamilton. Leading initiatives and projects related to watershed management and overseeing multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to staff in Watershed Management initiatives
  • Accountable for development, implementation, and execution of watershed management related projects
  • Oversee preparation of studies and reports on watershed management
  • Direct and oversee consultant assignments
  • Mentor staff and provide performance development
  • Develop business cases for watershed improvements
  • Coordinate scientific studies and funding programs

Requirements

  • Knowledge of watershed management theories and practices
  • Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Environmental Science
  • Membership with the Professional Engineers of Ontario or equivalent is an asset
  • Experience in project management of infrastructure investigation and construction projects
  • Knowledge of health & safety and environmental legislation in Ontario
  • Extensive knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure systems
  • Effective facilitation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage and work with a multi-disciplinary staff
