Responsibilities
Install and maintain power transformers, including bushing replacements and leak repairs.
Operate and maintain transformer oil processing rigs and service trailers.
Conduct maintenance and construction work in high-voltage, industrial, and utility settings.
Handle post-commissioning warranty activities and emergency service calls.
Build strong customer relationships and provide performance recommendations.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and marketing teams to share field service insights.
Review and interpret technical specifications before starting work.
Prepare detailed customer reports on testing and site work performed.
Participate in technical training and administrative tasks.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
Journeyman Electrician with Red Seal certification or Electrical Technologist with hands-on experience and willingness to perform mechanical work on transformers.
Minimum 3 years of electrical field service experience, preferably with power transformers.
Valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean record acceptable in BC, AB, SK & MB.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including international assignments (valid passport required).
Proficient in Word, Excel, databases, email, and service software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
