About the role
- Solution Architect designing secure, governed AI and generative AI solutions for iA Financial Group’s insurance and wealth-management business. Guiding architecture, MLOps, and enterprise integration across Canadian locations.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end architectures for AI and generative AI solutions, including intelligent agents, digital assistants, automation solutions, and advanced analytics use cases
- Define and evolve AI architecture patterns, including RAG, vector search, agent orchestration, API integration, tool calling, context management, and fallback strategies
- Translate business needs into secure, scalable, maintainable technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, data principles, and operational requirements
- Evaluate and recommend platforms, models, cloud services, orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and technology components
- Collaborate with business, data, cybersecurity, infrastructure, development, product, compliance, and operations teams
- Define non-functional requirements covering security, privacy, performance, latency, resilience, traceability, observability, availability, and cost optimization
- Guide MLOps and LLMOps practices
- Participate in proof-of-concept initiatives, prototypes, and MVPs
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation, technical decisions, solution diagrams, standards, guidelines, and architecture review deliverables
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to business and IT stakeholders
Requirements
- Expertise in solution architecture, software architecture, data architecture, or cloud architecture within complex enterprise environments
- Ability to design and deploy artificial intelligence, machine learning, or generative AI solutions addressing real business needs
- Strong expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG architectures, vector search, intelligent agents, and API-based model integration
- Collaborative leadership and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to broad stakeholder groups
- Typically seven or more years of experience in information technology, including several years in architecture or technical leadership roles
- Advanced English proficiency
- Experience with secure, scalable, maintainable enterprise solutions
- Knowledge of MLOps and LLMOps practices, including model and prompt versioning, CI/CD pipelines, continuous evaluation, production monitoring, quality metrics, and feedback mechanisms
