About the role
- Project Manager overseeing environmental remediation and construction projects at KBL, Canada's largest waste management company. Offering flexible and hybrid work options to manage diverse projects across Western Canada.
Responsibilities
- Manage environmental remediation, reclamation, demolition, civil earthworks, and pipeline-related projects.
- Prepare accurate project estimates, budgets, scopes, and forecasts.
- Assist in the bidding process. Work as a part of a team to collect and compile needed technical information as well as general KBL info.
- Ensure projects are executed in accordance with contracts, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Monitor project performance related to safety, cost, schedule, productivity, profitability, and QA/QC.
- Manage project costs, forecasting, documentation, progress billings, and change management.
- Prepare and review technical reports, project documentation, and client deliverables.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of Project Management experience related to General Construction, Mining, Environmental Remediation/Reclamation, Earthworks, Demolition, or Oil & Gas Construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction project management.
- Post-secondary education in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management or a related program is an asset.
- Experience managing projects in remote or northern environments is a definite asset.
- Strong estimating experience is considered a major asset.
- Technical writing experience, including reports and project documentation, is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
- Ability to travel a definite asset.
